The privilege of sharing music with children yields so much joy. The TBSO has a strong presence in children's musical education here in Thunder Bay. In November, I enjoyed traveling to twelve schools to check on the children's progress as they learned their part for a concert they would perform with the TBSO for their parents, in their very own gymnasium! The concert series is called, "Grade Three-Sing-Along," and fosters the idea of musical collaboration between mentors and children, learning songs in different languages, including Ojibwe, French, and English, and crawling out from one's comfort zone, in a variety of ways! I had a blast with these children, and look forward to our next show!
