After the "steroid" markets of 2005 and 2005, the market started to correct inself in 2006, with sellers still realizing appreciation. 2007 has been a very interesting year with heavy inventory and prices still holding in most areas. The shakedown of the mortgage industry in the summer, 2007 and buyer's response to higher inventory (taking more time to shop) has caused average days on market to increase.
