Maintaining Your Home

Congratulations- you own your own home---now what???  Staying on top of maintenance is the best way to protect your investment and assure that you will get back what you put into it and will preserve your homes "effective age" (how many more years it has according to an appraiser).  40 year old homes with a younger "effective age" than 15 year old homes, because of the way it was maintained.  "Staying on top" of the maintenance is hard sometimes, but well worth the money and the effort, since small problems will turn into large and more costly projects!  Call me if you are in need of a referral for a contractor, the Seattle Homeowners Club or a Home Warranty Program.
